Lean Manufacturing Thought And The Application Study In W Ceramic Company

In order to having a long term advantage in fierce competition and globalization, more and more enterprises have to run Lean manufacturing as it is a powerful tool to cut cost by eliminating the waste in the process and to response quickly by reducing the lead time. It helps the company adopting low cost manufacturing strategy and differentiation strategy. It can help company to build core competence in the global competition.The core idea of Lean manufacturing is to reduce waste and to build a highly flexible, highly efficient production systems. It lead the direction of the development of modern manufacturing industry, which as the"standards of the 21st century manufacturing production". Lean production system derive from Japanese Toyota Motor Corp.. The lean manufacturing system can improve customer`s satisfaction, improve the efficiency, reduce manufacturing cost and encourage the morale of staff. On the other side, it can reduce the resource spending.This paper main study the implementation of lean production to create enterprise`s core competitiveness based on my work experience in W ceramic company. As everybody knows,lean production cover very board, the paper mainly research how to use some special lean manufacturing tools to improve production in shop floor, such as reduce waste, standardized work, balance production lines, production layout, visual management and"5S". At the same time, I analysize the existing problems during emplementation process and how to improve management in the next step. This research has high reference for the similar manufacturing enterprises to implement lean manufacturing, some domestic enterprises as well .
