Study On Livable Cities Of The Mid-southern Liaoning Urban Agglomerations

With the acceleration of urbanization process in China, the construction of the living environment is also faced with tremendous pressures and challenges. A variety of urban problems which we call it "urban disease" come one after another. Such as environmental pollution, energy shortages, traffic jams and so on. With the growing of the population, we will face economic, social, environmental, resources, and many other aspects of the pressure. At the same time, urban problems will be manifested even more outstanding, the new urban problems will also continue to emerge. Rapid urbanization process requires scientific urban development philosophy to guide. Livable City is produced in this context, the theory and empirical research on the "livable city" has increasingly become the focus study of the scholars around the world.In this context, this paper selects the mid-southern Liaoning urban agglomerations as the research object. First, summarized the current situation of the "livable city" at home and abroad, analyzed the content and the feature of the "livable city", probe the basic theories of livable cities. According to certain methods and principles, construct a set of "livable city" evaluation system.Secondly, this paper makes a comprehensive evaluation for the mid-southern Liaoning urban agglomerations with factor analysis. Through this evaluation we can sum up several major factors which impact the construction of the mid-southern Liaoning urban agglomerations. They are the ecological environment-living conventions factor, the social harmony factor, the education and safety factor, the economy factor. Sum up the major Problems on the livable city construction of the mid-southern Liaoning urban agglomerations.Thirdly, this paper selects Shenyang and Dalian as the case city, which have the highest degree of livability in the region. Using factor analysis to evaluate the livability of the two cities summed up the useful experiences in the process of the "livable city" construction, in order to provide some references for other cities.At last, make some recommendations for the "livable city" construction; make a summary of the entire text at the conclusion, propose the innovations and the inadequate of this paper.
