Accelerate The Development Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry In Ordos Strategies

With the rapid development in urban economy in Ordos City, Ordos has grown up as a national-level energy-chemical base; as an central city in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos urban agglomeration; and as a significant point for regional economic growth. To enhance the key competition capacity, rearrange industrial structures, change the current state where energy industry dominate the whole economy and thus there is few components for the industry structure, and where economic growth take a extensive way with low-level technology leading to a pretty serious pollution problem, the government decide to develop equipment manufacturing industry, to establish base of the industry. the government is targeting at developing the base as an engineer for developing recycled economy, constructing industry cluster under the guidance of new thought about developing new way of industrialization which include high-level starting point, high-level technology, good benefits, tight Industry Chains, high added value, and environmental friendly actions. The base has moved forward a lot since its opening in April,2007. Countermeasures guided by the author's field work for further development for the base are discussed in this thesis considering the reformed national strategies in the wake of international economic crisis.
