On Spatial Characteristics Of County Economy Difference In Hebei Province And Analysis Of Influencing Factors

County economy is a basic unit with integrated and regional characteristics, which is connected in macroeconomic and microeconomic. The sixteenth CPC National Congress has put forward "Boosting the county economy" for the first time, and it indicates that China's economy grows center of gravity is being transferred to the county economy. As a special type of regional economic difference, County economic difference is a universal phenomenon, which is the comprehensive reflection of economic foundation, development-quality and policy.etc. County economic difference has spatial characteristic, because space is its inherent attribute. So, based on the perspective of geo-space to study county economic difference not only can cater to the new situation of economic rapid growth, but also make up for the deficiencies of traditional research, which has important theoretical and practical significance.Hebei province includes 11 prefecture-level cities and 136 counties (including 23 county-level cities). Hebei county economy gained great achievement since reform and opening-up. During the period of 1985-2007, the County-GDP increased from 34.397 to 980.36 (billion RMB); per capital County-GDP rose from 707.9 to 17017.2 (RMB). However, County economic imbalance became more and more serious. It can be showed that a majority of countys in Jibei region has not got rid of poverty, but many countys in Jidong region has beening experienced rapid economy growth. So, the gap between county economy has been expanding, and directly influences economy strength and economy-society coordinated development in Hebei province. Therefore, Taking Hebei province for example, paper analyzes the county economic difference by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and offers some proposals on how to reduce expanding-difference and coordinate development of county-economy is particularly important.This study is divided in to six chapters:Chapter 1 introduces the background of the study and its significance, the research thinking, methods and framework. Chapter 2 summarizes relevant theories and reviews about difference in countyl economy at home and abroad, and makes a brief and to the point introduce about difference in county economy of Hebei province. Chapter 3 is the core part of this study. It depicts the general changes of Hebei county-economy based on classical statistical methods and spatial econometric model, and then analyzes comprehensive development level of county-economy and the law of its spatial autocorrelation. Chapter 4, based on previous research conclusion, summarizes the influencing factors which have been exerting the difference in county-economy. Chapter 5 puts forward some proposals on reducing county economic difference.Chapter 6 summarizes research conclusions of the study, and points out the limitation of the study.The main research findings and perspectives of this study are listed as follow:First:On the whole, difference in county-economy is showed a expanding trend since 1993.Second: In recent years, the economic barycenter of county-economy moved to the northeast direction and shows a strong momentum.Third: Postive spatial autocorrelation of county-economy has been weaken from 1996 to 2007. It indicates that the spatial heterogeneity of county-economy has been strengthened.Fourth: County-economy in Hebei province has strong spatial dependence.
