The financial crisis that broke out in 2008 has led global economic downturn and corporates'performance declining. Many businesses taken a series of measures in response to the crisis:suspended recruitment, paid down and even layoff. This includes a large number of Chinese enterprises. These responses measures related to the employees'job and salary security. People begin to think more about the problem of job insecurity and push this to the cusp of the problem.Domestic and foreign scholars have already started to pay attention to the important of employee engagement, and began to explore the factors that influence employee engagement. Theoretical studies have shown that job insecurity have a major impact on employees' physical and mental attitude for work. A large number of researches have also risen that there is significant correlation between job insecurity and the engagement. But so far, there was no empirical research on significant relationship between insecurity and the engagement in. There is a research gap.This paper focus on the job insecurity in the Chinese culture background. After summarized the researches about job insecurity both domestic and foreign, this paper would study the structural model of Chinese job insecurity, try to find the unique circumstances of Chinese job insecurity, measure the status quo of job insecurity and engagement under the revised questionnaire. On those basis, do the correlation and regression analysis. The paper will discussion the job insecurity's impact on employee engagement, study the self-efficacy's regulating role in this relation. The article concludes with reasonable control over the management of employee job insecurity recommendations.This paper is divided into three parts:the first part of the employee to explore the multi-dimensional structure of the sense of insecurity to amend the job insecurity and engagement questionnaire. The second part, measure the status quo of employee job insecurity and the engagement using the questionnaire; compare different demographic variables of employees of the differences in job insecurity; discuss employee job insecurity's structure and its elements. The third part concerning the reasonable management proposals of controlling employee job insecurity. The main conclusions of this paper are:First, studied the unique structure of job insecurity in Chinese cultural background, this includes five factors as fellow: promotion and development, pay and benefits, interpersonal relationships, competitive advantage and job stability.Promotion and development, pay and benefits, interpersonal relations and the competitive advantage belongs to the qualitative insecurity quality, job stability belongs to quantities insecurity; second, different demographic variables have impact on job insecurity; third, there are significant correlation between job insecurity and engagement.The principal innovation of this article are:First, on the basis of theoretical research on job insecurity both domestic and foreign, revised multi-layer multi-dimensional structure of the Chinese employees'job insecurity; second, explored the relationship between employees job insecurity and the engagement and obtained the expected results; Third, provided the reasonable proposals of controlling the employee job insecurity, thereby enhancing Enterprise Performance.
