R&D is playing an increasingly important role in improving technical level and promoting competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. How to improve performance management level and motivate employees in R&D projects has become an issue of concern to enterprise managers. In this paper, the matrix organization theory, the balanced scorecard theory and the 360-degree feedback rating theory were firstly reviewed and the situation of R&D projects performance management in Yantai Longyuan Power Technology Co., Ltd was analyzed. Then a set of performance assessment indicators and an assessment system of Yantai Longyuan, which based on communication between the managers and staff in the R&D projects, were set up according to the 360-degree feedback rating theory and the balanced scorecard theory. Finally, this paper summarized the implementation of performance assessment system and put forward recommendations on improving R&D project performance management in the future. Hopefully this paper will provide technological innovation-oriented enterprises with reference to R&D project performance management in both methodology and operation. |
