Identification And Management Of The Core Competencies In The Certified Public Accountants M & A

In recent years, M&A of CPA firms are more frequent in China, but by reviewing on the analysis of CPA firms'market share from 2003 to 2008, we found that domestic CPA firms'market share decreased with years, apparently M&A of CPA firms failed to form an effective competitive advantage. Scholars think there are two reasons for this phenomenon:one reason for this is that M&A is only the simple sum of market neglecting its own business strategy; the other is the big four occupied the audit business of listed abroad, which is a higher profit margin, created in the process of domestic enterprises financing. This article believes an important cause is that CPA firms in the course of M&A failed to recognize the parties'core-competitiveness effectively and manage the combined firms reasonably.This paper starts from the development route of core-competitiveness theory, from resources and capacity directions, exploring the evaluation index of CPA firm's core-competitiveness. According to CPA firms'own peculiarity, this thesis is to extract core-competitiveness evaluation index of CPA firms from three aspects:core capabilities, professional proficiency and risk control, and recommend core competence identification index system during the course of M&A of CPA firms. Then on the premise of constructing a rational index model, we assign to the index of core-competitiveness scientifically in the CPA firms'M&A process by analyzing the data and reviewing of existing results(excluding expert marking and other human factors). By analysis the case of Zhe Jiang Tian Jian merge Zhe Jiang Dong Fang using Multi-Agent system model, we find the calculating results of Multi-Agent system model coincides with the real, the case study indicates a method of identifying core-competitiveness in the course of CPA firms'M&A. Finally, the paper analyze the core-competitiveness after CPA firms merged from three aspects:its protection, transfer and diffusion, development, and discuss the effective management approach of core competency after the merger, having important directive to practice.
