| First, this paper generally discusses the theoretical principles of the intermediate business of commercial banks. Second, this paper analyzes and summarizes the current situations of intermediate business for banks in developed countries and nationalized commercial banks in our county. Through the comparison between them, based on the bank and the customer perspective, we find the problems during the development of intermediate business for nationalized commercial banks. On the side of the suppliers-the nationalized banks, the problems focus on conception deviation of intermediate business, short of talents, low intermediate business level, deficiency pricing mechanism of intermediate business, poor marketing of intermediate business products, poor awareness of risk prevention, state internal control system still being initial, and backward service methods. On the side of demander-the customer, the problems focu on fee charging deviation of intermediate business awareness, and lacking of effective demand for intermediate business market. Base on those problems presented above, from the points of the bank, customers and regulators, this paper proposes several suggestions for the nationalized commercial banks' intermediate business development listed as:For the banks, they should evolve the concepts, accurate posite intermediate business, improve internal control system construction, strengthen marketing, improve the pricing mechanism of intermediate business, personnel training and introduction of intermediate business, enhance the awareness of risk prevention. For the customers, they should vigorously develope the national economy, popularize business knowledge to the bank customers. For the supervisors, they should improve laws and regulations, build innovative regulatory approaches. |
