Research On International Competitiveness Of Manufacturing Industry Of Shandong From The Perpective Of Global Value Chains

With the further development of economic globalization, the situation of the international division of labor has dramatically changed. It changed from the traditional industrial divisions based on comparative advantage to the divisions between different products, different segments of the same product and different value chains. These links of creating value constituted the global value chain by being located in different countries and regions of the world。This brings opportunities for developing countries and cities to integrate into the system of global value chains and enhance the international competiveness in this system. Therefore, the development of practice requires analyzing the global competitive landscape with the perspective of global value chain, and the establishing process of regional competitive advantage in this competitive environment. In order to undertake industrial transfer of Japan and South, Shandong has set up the"manufacturing base of peninsula", and is trying to construct it to be the"international advanced manufacturing base". In the situation of the global value chains specialization, this article is to study which advantages and disadvantages the Shandong manufacturers have and then enhance the international competitiveness of its industries pointedly.Based on the research of the theory of value chain and global value chains and the Porter"Diamond Model", this article pointed out that the defects of the Porter"Diamond Model"to analyze the international competitiveness of developing countries and regions on the new economic circumstances by analyzing the content, causes, character of the new international division of labor division, the global value chain. And it modified the Porter"Diamond Model"and built the"EFIIC model"combined with previous research results. Then it pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of the manufacturing industry in Shandong in the context of the division of the global value chain, and drew out the improvement strategy pointedly.
