Nearly half a century,the international division of labor experienced from the international inter-industry division of labor to the international intra-industrial division of labor,and finally to the international intra-product division of labor,formed the new pattern of international division of labor that is the global value chains specialization.Due to differences in factor endowments,capital and technical conditions,the participation of developing countries in the global value chain mainly start from the production assembly by OEM production mode,This model makes the manufacturing industry in developing countries access to development opportunities,but also easily be captured and controlled by multinational companies.The status quo of the manufacturing industry participation in the global value chain specialization in China shows that with the disappearance of the demographic dividend,the manufacturing sector is also faced with the dilemma of being locked down.Therefore,in-depth analysis of the impact of global value chain specialization on the developing countries manufacturing growth represented by China,and further explores how to seize the opportunities brought by the new round of global value chain decomposition and reconstruction to achieve industrial growth is an important research topic.This paper analyzes the influence channel and influence mechanism of the global value chain specialization on the growth of manufacturing industry in developing countries firstly,the global value chain specialization mainly influence on the growth of manufacturing industry in developing countries through investment,demand and technology channel.On the basis of theoretical analysis,This paper takes China's manufacturing industry as an example to calculate and analyze the situation of the manufacturing industry embedded global value chain,This paper use Koopman and Fally methods on the measure of the value chains specialization degree index,using the world input-output database(WIOD)to calculate the global value chain position and global value chain length of 13 sub-sectors of Chinese manufacturing.Analysis results presenting that the global value chain position of different manufacturing department is different,but in general it is in a lower position;the products of China's manufacturing industry global value chain length is increasing,showing a good development trend.Further,based on the previous description of the influence of global value chain specialization on manufacturing growth,this paper study the impact of global value chain specialization on the scale and competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in China from the perspective of empirical analysis.Results show that the effect of the global value chain specialization on China's manufacturing industry is not fully promoted.The improvement of global value chain position contributes to the competitiveness enhancement of the manufacturing industry,while the extension of the product value length promotes the scale of the manufacturing industry and limits the enhancement of industrial competitiveness.And the global value chain specialization has promoted the growth of China's manufacturing industry through the impact of capital accumulation,demand and technological progress.Finally,based on the above empirical analysis,this paper put forward relevant policy recommendations to promote China's manufacturing industry growth in the context of global value chain.
