Research On The Western Countries' Countermeasures For Promoting Youth Employment And The Enlightenments Under The Financial Crisis

The dissertation is a study on the western countries' countermeasures for promoting youth employment under the financial crisis. The financial crisis took the lead in breaking out in the United States and then spread through the world. The global financial crisis affected the employment situation of youth around the world seriously, which forced all the countries to take countermeasures.This dissertation concludes that there are five main common features in the current western countries'policies for promoting youth employment, namely:attention to multi-sector cooperation, strong financial support, emphasis on information technology, diversity project to promote employment, attention to the employment of knowledge and skills training, based on the analysis and comparison of the policy to promote youth employment in the United States, Britain, Canada and Australia under the background of the financial crisis. This dissertation then analyzes China's current policy of promoting youth employment, and shows the main five features of the promoting policy, namely: making the employment of higher education graduates a priority, focusing groups, attention to the role of industry and business, respect of vocational knowledge and skills training, encouragement of self-employment. Through the comparative analysis of the policy of promoting youth employment between China and other countries, this dissertation believes there are obvious differences in the coverage of people, information technology, type and variety of project, financial support between China and foreign countries. Finally, it suggests our country fully learn other countries' advanced concepts and experience, expand funding sources, improve the application of information technology, increase the type and variety of projects and cover more people.The main contribution of the dissertation is to analyze the current western major countries' policies to promote youth employment, and then compare the common features of those policies in the western countries under the financial crisis. Besides, this dissertation also analyze and summarize the current policy to promote youth employment in our country, compare the policy to promote youth employment between China and foreign countries, and obtain some inspirations and advices.There are four chapters in the dissertation:Chanter One. Introduction. It's mainlv about the background and the purpose of the study, the framework of the whole study, the key concepts of the study, the purpose, the project and the methods of the study.Chanter Two. The Financial Crisis and It's Influence On The Youth Emnlovment. It concludes the financial crisis the industry and the employment, and the influence of the financial crisis on the youth employment.Chapter Three. The Western Countries'Youth Emnlovment Policies Under the Financial Crisis. It contains the content of the main Western countries'youth employment and the comparative analysis between them.Chapter Four. The Enlightenments of the Western Countries' Policies of Promoting Youth Emnlovment on Our Countrv. At first it describes the main policies of our country's promoting youth employment under the financial crisis. And then it analyzes and compares the countermeasures between China and other countries. So it finishes by obtaining some enlightenment for our country.The above four chapters have the close contact with each other and constitute the main body of this dissertation.
