November 2008, the Ministry of Transport and the National Bureau of Statistics carried out in the country special survey of highway and waterway traffic. The special survey project by Chang'an University, Shaanxi, bear all the technical work of the college, through field data collection, data entry assessment, the overall data and a series of projections and, ultimately, Shaanxi Province, as well as full access to the 11 cities of highway transportation volume, the average transport distance, fuel consumption, transport efficiency and other important data for our research around the city of Shaanxi Province and the development of road transport has laid a good foundationIn this paper, the traffic survey data obtained as a special source of information to transportation economics theory as the theoretical basis to the City of Yulin transportation and economic development for the platform, with comparative analysis, from the traffic, bicycle transportation volume, the volume of freight turnover cycle, the average distance, fuel consumption, fuel consumption per vehicle kilometers, mileage utilization and loading rates in terms of comprehensive comparative analysis of the City of Yulin and Xi'an, Yan'an two typical cities road transport development.Based on the development of Yulin City, state road transport of goods, this paper examines the main problems are:road transport infrastructure has not yet fully meet the overall economic development of Yulin City requirements; relatively slow development of third-party logistics; road transport overloading phenomena seriously; road transport efficiency is low.Its problems, combined with Yulin Economic and social development requirements, this paper proposes to solve the problem the following main measures:do the next highway transportation network planning; accelerate the pace of building transport infrastructure; construction of fast road transport line; establish a perfect third logistics industry; enhance highway overload treatment in the area; perfect mode of transport for the development of rationalization of the structure.
