Project communication management is one of the top 9 knowledge areas in modern project management. For a successful project, in order to organize, command, coordinate and control it scientifically, communication is needed for every step.Communication takes very important part in the whole process. The main reason for a failure project is in the communication process other than plan or the monitor step. The influence of communication is invisible and cannot be valued easily but it is of the most important for the IT projects.This paper is focus on the importance of the communication management,communication awareness, communication object, communication content,communication time, communication skills, communication plan, Customer management and etc which are combined with the character of OSS cluster project in the writer's company.The purpose of this paper is proposing the communication management theory and methods for complex IT group by researching and discussing the problem in the field of communication separately, so can manage IT group's communication process and activities.
