With the accelerating pace of global economic integration, the regional competition is becoming more and more intense. As the level of economic development between different regions is different, countries or regions all over the world are all looking for a fast and effective economic development path. Especially in China, level of urban economic development is considerablely different, not only the characteristics of distribution of local resources vary a lot, the development of the industry also are different. How to find out an effective way to develop the region's economy has becomed its own major problem. Based on this, I worked over the project of Brand Strategy and the regional economic development. Via the discussion of the concepts of the brand strategy and regional economy, i demonstrated the relationship between brand strategy and regional economic development, and then put forward that brand strategy is an effective way of regional economic development.In this paper, after the different ways of discussion of the concept of brand strategy and regional economic development, the relationship between brand strategy and regional economic development is put forward and the function Brand Strateg is playing in promoting regional economic development is summarized. With the researches of regional brand strategy at home and abroad, studying the anlysis of stratedies through different experiences from the regions that has implentmented the regional economic strategy, I figure out the problems that exists at home and abroad in developing the brand strategy. Then I take the city of Qingdao as an example to explore the advantages, disadvantages, present problems and the solution of its developing this strategy in promoting the the regional development, which can be provided as a reference for the after implentation , or the theorical and practical support for the other regions. On the basis of the above, systems bulling for the brand strategy in promoting the regional economic development is proposed, new ideas for the brand strategy and regional economic development is provided, and reference for the future in-depth study of both of the theory and practice in the field of the brand and regional economic field can be advanced.
