Study On Green Supply Chain Management In Shougang Jingtang Iron & Steel Corporation

Today the worlds are generally faced with the problem of tight resources supply and worsen ecological environment. Environmental protection, saving resources and carrying out the strategy of sustainable development have become one of the most important mission in the 21st century effectively. It has proved that green supply chain management can reduce the environmental risk, save resources, cut down production cost, increase companies' economic benefits and environment performance. It's very important for iron & steel enterprises to improve competitiveness, protect environment and implement sustainable development strategies. Implementing green supply chain management is the effective way to achieve sustainable development. The iron & steel enterprises are the big butts of resources consumption and also the large family of environment pollution, and their old operation mode, which means "high input, high consumption, high pollution", should be changed. They should advanced Green Supply Chain management technology to blend the sustainable development concept into company's business philosophy, to reduce product costs and enhance resource utilization efficiency, to produce not only various diversification but also environmentally friendly high quality steel &iron products, and then balance the economic efficiency of steel & iron enterprises and social benefits.This paper started with introducing the concept of Green Supply Chain (GSM) and Green Supply Chain management, made research on the relation theory about GSM, Summarized the general strategies and implementation technologies of GSM. Then it integrated Green Supply Chain management with the reality of China steel & iron enterprises, conclude the necessity and feasibility of implementing GSM in our country's iron & steel enterprises, and it analyzed China iron & steel enterprises'supply chain characters and the process of it's producing operation.Based on that, it described the function model of our country's green supply chain management using IDEF modeling approach. This model described the Shougang Jingtang Corporations'green supply chain management's organization functions in detail and the main material resources flow in the chain.
