The Party Central Committee has made the strategy for the Development of the western Region and to coordinate the development of central and western regions in second half of the 1999.For decades, the country increased its support in wesrern regions at policy support, funding,project schedules, personnel exchanges and so on,and the western regions has made important progress and achievements,including in base installation,and then coordinating the region development. As a big province in western and human resources province,Sichuan Province is the strategic resources of the western development,and it is also the most development potential in the western region, therefore the SiChuan province as the reseach object is more convincing.Since the development of western Sichuan Province has made great achievements,three industrial structure, industrial technology, industrial concentration degree of change are very alarming; but in the process of industrial development, Sichuan Province has also had a lot of problems.In this paper, using the result of modern economic theory incluing the macroeconomics, regional economics, comparative economics, quantitative economics, adopting the method of combining results of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, for 1995 to 2008 Sichuan province Actual statistical information as the basis,then analysis the development of entire western region since the Development of the western,and the development of the general economic conditions,industrial conditions in Sichuan Province, then according to it make the concluing.The development of the western profile. First introduced the proposal of the western development strategy and implementation, and put forward the major policy initiatives expounded after the Western Development,the main policy measures includeing:the measures of increasing funding for construction efforts, And then the overall development of the western region has done a study of the status quo.Pointed out that the arrogant western region since the development of economic output has increased significantly; significantly accelerated the pace of industrialization; accelerating the pace of infrastructure construction in the western region; people's living standards continue to improve; western provinces, the national economy and social undertakings to achieve faster development. However, in the process of development has also exposed a lot of problems, including:total economic output continued to show expansion of regional differences with the national trend; western industrial developments are not coordinated,the three major industrial development is highly unbalanced; and southeast coastal areas, compared industrial clusters in the western region is still in cultivation period; outward extent of the western region's economy is not high; the western development policy support system has yet to be improved.About the analysis of the entire economic situation in Sichuan Province, including the Sichuan province's own GDP and per capita GDP, after ten years of the development of the western region,the economic, aggregate of Sichuan Province has been greatly improved. However, the gap between GDP and per capita GDP in Sichuan Province and the country is still enlarged,and the economic growth rate is below the national average of most other cities.At last,though the analysis abtaining same problems and results about the industry stucture and the prepotent industry.Finally,after analysed the entire development situation and the prepotent development and the problems in the industry in SiChuan province, this paper have made some measures and methods in order to puting forward the promotion of industrial development in Sichuan Province and improving the industrial structure of the Sichuan Province and enhancing the industrial Competitive forces.
