A Study On The Talents Training Model Of Practice Combined With Knowledge In The Hotel Management Major Of The Vocational Colleges

The vocational colleges are the cradles to train skilled talents for the hotels. It is important to direct the education reform to carry out the teaching model of practice combined with knowledge which may have the characteristics of vocational education as well as meeting the demand of the market.At present the vocational education remains in the infancy in China. There is still not a complete system for the teaching model of the hotel management major in vocational colleges. It is in a weak position for vocational colleges to train talents with high quality and practical skills.After summarizing of the connotation of talents training model of practice combined with knowledge in this thesis, the writer proposed that the practice combined with knowledge is the connotation of talents training model embracing the spirit of humanism as a guide, combining work and study. The writer also put forward that the essential characteristic is to realize the combination of education and practice and colleges with society by way of practice combined with knowledge. With the help of the successful practice and experience at home and abroad, such as the model from Ecole Hotelliere De Lausanne in Switzerland, Shandong Tourism and Hospitality College and Tourism College of Zhejiang, China, the writer analyzed scientifically the learning goals, knowledge structures and skills requirements, and identified the barriers on the restriction of the model of talents training from the tripartite aspects- the government, the enterprises and the colleges, analyzing the teaching model of the characteristics of vocational colleges in order to make rational suggestions for the talents training in hotel management major of vocational colleges.
