The Research Of Risk Management In Wireless Broadband Metropolitan Area Networks Of Beijing

In recent years, the trend of global information communication technology is clearly showing the development of IP-based, broadband and wireless-oriented. And countries all over the world have carried on the Wireless City construction.State Department of Beijing Urban Master Plan (2004-2020) is approved in the clear demands including the comprehensive construction of'Digital Beijing'. It's the historical opportunity and responsibility that realizing the wireless digital city's goal for Beijing with the wireless broadband access technology and becoming the one of the ranks of the world's information-based city. And WIFI Wireless Beijing project was proposed in this background in order to provide the broadband capabilities which are covering the whole city to the public, business, foreign visitors& tourists and the government services.However, lots of builders did not pay enough attention to the risk during the project process. And these network construction projects failed in the end because of the lack of risk management.And this paper brings the theories and methods of risk management into the practice of WIFI Wireless Beijing project in order to ensure the smooth progress of project implementation with scientific and standardized information technology project risk management. And this method will be effective with the risk forward-looking and reasonable plan & control. And this work will provide directions for the same kind of project's risk managing.This paper focuses on these tasks which are shown as follows:Firstly, this paper clears up the process of risk management for the project based on the researches at home and abroad.Secondly, this paper analyses the risk features of the WIFI Wireless Beijing project, draws up the RBS and the plan of risk management.Thirdly, this paper researches the risk identification, assessment and control for the kinds of risk in the project with the methods of Brainstorming, historical data analysis and Risk Probability/Impact Matrix.Last but not the least, this paper gives a comprehensive evaluation for the project risk, proposed the control method of risk, summed up the implementation of effective risk control.
