With the expansion of college enrollments and the improvement of the educational conditions, the infrastructure construction of schools of higher education in China has come to unprecedented booming period, but the quality and standard of management has yet to be constantly improved. Based on this social background, the author of this article focus on such hot and difficult issues as the management mode, campus planning, quality control, investment management, process management and contract management of infrastructure construction projects of colleges and universities by analyzing the characteristics of those projects, aiming to provide some experiences and theoretical support for the management of these projects.The author suggests that strengthening the overall planning of campus infrastructure construction plays a vital role in optimizing the resource allocation, improving the efficiency of the operation of schools, and coordinating the harmonious relationship between schools to achieve long term sustainable development.The author analyzes the suitable management mode for current infrastructure construction projects in colleges and universities, and its trend of development to lay solid foundation for the management of those projects at present.Quality management is the core of infrastructure construction management, which requires that the schools of higher education keep control of quality inspection at all stages of the project after high quality construction and supervision companies have been chosen; investment management is an important task in infrastructure construction management, which requires that investment control be done throughout the stages of the construction work, while focusing on important links; the process target oriented management which is adjusted to the need of gradual enrollment expansion, requires special attention, and has to be coordinated to guarantee the realization of the general goal of the project. The author probes into various goals in infrastructure construction management in this article.Contract management is the key link in improving the level and the economic efficiency of management, and the channel through which the quality control, investment management and process management goals can be realized. The proposed dynamic project management approach is applicable and deserves attention.
