The Research Of Correlation Between Circulation Industry And Economy In Sichuan Province

Circulation industry is a leading and pillar industry, and plays a strategic role in national economy. In Sichuan Province, under the situation of the strategy of western China's development and China joining WTO, it is really an important issue how to play circulation industry's strategic role and speed up its self-development to guide and promote development in national economy and how to face a new era of fierce competition after foreign investment coming in.For this reason, this paper introduces circulation industry's status quo of development and problems in Sichuan Province. With statistics, models, and othere econometric analysis methods, the correlation, which between circulation industry and social total output, employment, consumption and industrial structure, are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to study the impact on economic development in Sichuan Province. Finally the writer puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations.Over the past three decades since Chinese reformation and opening, in Sichuan Province, the circulation industry has made remarkable achievements in development. The scale of commodity circulation rapidly grows; the degree of modernization has greatly been improved; and as a pioneer industry and basic industry, the circulation industry has made great contributions to GDP, economic growth, social employment, consumption as well as the adjustment of industrial structure, its strategic position has been highlighted.But there are still some issues, such as small-scale circulation enterprises, the scattered distribution and the lack of leading enterprises; circulation industry development's lagging behind relatively; increasing competitive pressures of foreign investment on domestic enterprises; market order needing to be perfect and so on. Through analysis, we can see that there are still large gaps in circulation industry development between Sichuan Province and domestic, foreign well-developed regions. The labor absorptive capacity, the degree of modernization and growth rate of circulation industry is still less than the secondary industry and tertiary industry, circulation industry is still on the lower level of the development in Sichuan; In addition, circulation industry becomes bottlenecks in economic development. On the other hand, circulation industry would have great development potential and space to contribute more to economy and society.In Sichuan Province circulation industry's relative lagging behind due to factors such as the economic development's intermediate period of industrialization, eastern industry's transfering westward and foreign investment coming in, which make the secondary industry's development rate and proportion in the national economy to increase rapidly. To develop circulation industry in Sichuan Province, we should raise the people's income level and speed up the process of urbanization to create good economic and social conditions for the development of circulation industry. Accordingly, this paper put forward corresponding policy recommendations to promote the development of circulation industry and to do some useful reference to economic development in Sichuan Province.
