Analysis Of Impacts Of Trade In Services On Economic Growth Of China

Trade in services has a special effect on promoting the overall efficiency and improving the quality of regional economy. By the rapid development of service trade in recent years, it influenced global economy more and more deeply. The thesis tried to analysis the influence of service trade to economic growth of China.Firstly, the thesis summarized service trade and economic growth from the perspective of theory and respectively narrates the meanings, influencing factors and then based on characteristic of service industry of our country, it analyzed the relationship between service trade and economic growth.Secondly, the thesis introduced the situations of service trade development and economic growth in China and analyzed the factors that influenced service export and service import.Then on the basis of import and export data of service trade in China from 1982 to 2009,it analyzed the present situation of China's international trade in services and used cointegration analysis and testing Granger Causality to study the impacts of trade in services on China's economic growth.Through the positive analysis, the conclusion is that the export growth in China played comparatively significant roles in the promotion of economic growth. And compared to the growth of export, the growth of import affects the economic growth in the opposite way and the effect is less.Then it used concrete data to analyze the influence of structure of service trade on economic growth. Through this positive analysis, the conclusion is that the export growth in transport services and tourism services played comparatively significant roles in the promotion of economic growth. And compare to that, the growth of export in other services trade departments affect the economic growth less.Thirdly, combining the country at the present stage of development of trade in services with the conclusions of the above empirical analysis, this thesis brought forward policy suggestions of using the development of service industry to boost industry structure's adjustment and economic development in China. To speed up China's services trade development, we should continue keeping the advantages of the traditional labor-intensive sectors of service trade, make the capital-intensive sectors more specialized while at the same time giving more support to the newly developed knowledge and technology-intensive sectors.
