Diversification has become the most important strategy for the enterprise. In the condition of knowledge economy, knowledge-based relative diversification becomes a new effective way for the diversification enterprises. So, for the promoting transfer of knowledge and ability among each unit becomes the key of to acquire sustainable advantage to the diversified enterprises. The social network of the managers in the diversified organizations has an important role for the knowledge transfer. Usually, diversified enterprises consists of many units, which is consisted a head unit and some business units. This paper mainly discusses the impact of social networks of managers on knowledge transfer within diversified corporations. Lately, academia has many views on the success of knowledge transfer, which focus on the internal enterprise of R&D knowledge transfer and the knowledge transfer within the multinational firms etc. For the knowledge transfer within the diversified enterprises, there are many domestic and foreign research, which can support this paper. But the research in this area seldom use empirical research method.This study builds on the theory of diversification, social networks and knowledge transfer, and combines the results of both domestic and foreign research, especially the foreign research. Analyze the differences of the impact of social networks on knowledge transfer. Will take the survey methodology for measuring managers of diversified enterprise social networks and knowledge transfer. According to a survey questionnaire has been designed abroad this paper has researched themes in the keyword search, and based on extensive literature research model proposed and the assumptions of this article. Conducted a pretest of the questionnaire, which based on the changed questionnaire, obtained a formal questionnaire. Issued a formal questionnaire after the data analysis, the hypothesis has present after the detailed arguments of influencing factors and the size. Finally drawn the conclusions of this study:The managers of the diversified enterprises' social network size, content and density will positive effect on the knowledge transfer. The paper research some questions detailed:What kind of social ties exist between different units of an diversified organization? How do network contents, sizes and densities affect the knowledge transfer between the different units of the diversified enterprises?The main contribution of this study is through research the impact of social networks of managers on knowledge transfer within diversified corporations to help us better understand the scopes and roles of social networks. Designed to further enrich and promote the development of the social network theory and knowledge transfer theory, and to provide inspiration and theoretical reference for the diversified corporations. Therefore, for, managers of diversified businesses, they should pay attention to inter-unit coordination and communication management. The information of this study from diversified businesses, such diversification is a way to make us has a all-round understanding the relations of social networks and knowledge transfer.
