With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the modern dairy industry has not only become an important part of the food industry, but also become a hot spot in market competition. However, the development of Chinese dairy enterprises still in its infancy, there are a lot of improvements. It needs large-scale dairy enterprises play demonstration effects to make progress. So it has practical significance to research on the competitiveness of large-scale dairy enterprises.The paper firstly apart similar concepts form enterprise competitiveness on the basis of a general theory, such as product competitiveness, core competencies, and competitive advantage. Then explains the basic concepts of enterprise competitiveness and characteristics, and defines the meaning of dairy enterprise competitiveness. Furthermore, reviewed and commented the literature of dairy enterprise competitiveness analysis methods to support an empirical analysis. Based on the research of authorities and academics and Chinese dairy Enterprise special competitive elements, the paper designed a set of indicators by 17 items in relation to the composition of the evaluation system, which is much more practical and scientific to the competitiveness of large-scale dairy enterprises.In empirical analysis section, the paper chose large-scale dairy enterprises as research objects, using factor analysis to determine the weights of each index. According to the results, sorted and analyzed the competitiveness of large-scale dairy enterprises. The results show that many factors play a significantly part to the competitiveness, such as the size of strength, profitability, innovation, marketing and business growth ability, and so on.Combine the actual situation of large-scale dairy enterprises, the paper put forward a series of measures and policies in a detailed analysis of Chinese large-scale dairy enterprise competitiveness gap. It laid the foundation of theory to further enhance the competitiveness of large-scale dairy enterprises in China and maintain its sustained and healthy development.Using factor analysis methods to evaluate large-scale dairy enterprise competitiveness provides a good technical method to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. We are believed that with the further improve of the dairy enterprises, Chinese dairy industry is even more brilliant future.
