The carrier dyeing progress and properties of disperse dye use to PLA fabric was studied in this paper. Also, the pigment printing technology of the fabric was discussed.Experimental results showed that the optimal procedure and conditions of the carrier dying process with D-922 were: temperature 95℃, 60 minutes, carrier D- 922 concentration 1.5g/L. Dyeing at 95℃for 60 minutes with 0.8g/L carrier CWP-931 has high dye uptake and good K/S value on PLA fabric. Except for the Yabang blue, the build up of disperse dyestuffs Yabang red and Yabang yellow are excellent. At the same time, Yabang red, Yabang yellow and blue have good compatibility and good levelness on the PLA fabric dying. Dying at the optimal process, the fabric can obtain good K/S value and the breakage strength of PLA fabric was not decline after dying. Dyed fabrics had good resistance to washing fastness, three dyestuffs washing fastness was up to level five, color fastness above 3 to dry rubbing, and 5 to wet. The better light fastness 4 to Yabang red and Yabang yellow, the poor light fastness only 2 to Yabang blue. During pigment printing, we studied the selection of bounder, the amount of adhesive, curing time and temperature, the choice of crosslinker and softener, plasma processing and other aspects. Besides, the properties of pigment printing fabrics were tested. And an optimal technical process has been obtained. The optimal procedure and conditions of the pigment printing process were: pigment 2%, binder KG-101 40%, thickener KG-102 2%, crosslinker 1%; the fabrics were dried at 80℃, 5min, and then baked 5min at the 130℃. At last, the soft finishing was taken. We can found the fabrics attained relatively good K/S. The properties of printed fabrics were: color fastness 3 to dry rubbing, and 4 to wet, brushing fastness 4-5, fabric hand 4. Plasma pretreated can improve color fastness: 3-4 to dry rubbing, and 4-5 to wet, brushing fastness 4-5. The optimal procedure and conditions of the ink jet printing process were: the fabric was pretreated by Plasma, then spray 15% binder and printed, after that baked 10min at the 130℃. Compared to the manual flat screen printing, it can obtain better fabric hand, but its fastness were no better than the flat screen printing.
