Straightening is an important and major process in the tube trimmed production.After rolling, welding and heat-treatment,the process may bring tube some defaults,such as bend and ovality. To eliminated these defaults, a cross-roll straightener is applied in decreasing or removing bend and ovality in the trimmed process.However, it is difficult how to select the process parameters of the straightener, because the experience of operator is usually more effect on the setting of process parameters .The straightening quality cannot be controlled and guaranteed.The thesis main component includes:1.Straightening theory of the modern seamless steel tube is represented and emphasis on the formulation of the straightening process parameters.2.According to experiments, deformation of the tube is studied in straightening production. The relationship between the straightening process parameters and the properties of the tube, such as diameter, thickness and material, has been systematically analyzed. The characteristic curve of the process parameters, such as flattening rate,bending deflection and roll angle, has been established.3.The mechanical parameters of the six-roll straightener is analyzed in straightening production. Taking the result to discuss calculated formula and to approve conclusion of experiment.4.On the basis of the theory of finite element method and plastic mechanics, a flattened model of the tube is established. Several equation of the flatting quantity have been compared and the accurate calculation of the flatting quantity has been founded.5.Base on the Matlab software, six-roll straightening process parameters analysis program is compiled.The research of the straightening process parameters will help to improve the tube quality, reduce the cost and increase the profit. The results will give significant instruction in the tube straightening process and new-straightener development.
