The traditional manufacturing mode of the profiled shaft sleeve is used processing machinery or special processing, but the material utilization and productivity are low, and mechanical properties of the products are bad. The volume molding, especially the cold extrusion technology has been widely applied to industrial production because of its advantages such as high productivity and material utilization, good mechanical properties, well part surface quality and dimensional. This paper adopted cold extrusion forming technology for the profiled shaft sleeve is researched by numerical simulation and process optimization.The article make a concrete analysis which is the structure shape and forming difficulty of the profiled shaft sleeve, designing the essence of blank extrusion parts according to the technical requirements of the product and the structure characteristics. Through the analysis and calculation of the extrusion parts axial section area and radial cross-section area change, it is concluded that the parts in extrusion, materials are not only to flow in the axial and radial, axial direction also redistribution of flow material, by means of increasing the preform process and the pre forming process in the parts forming to reducing the forming difficulty. In this paper, three kinds of forming process were designed with the different preforms, and the process line of cold extrusion was established, calculated the process of per kind of forming, and determined the cold extrusion equipment of profiled shaft sleeve for forming. The pre forming process in the three kinds of forming was numerical simulation by the finite element simulation software DEFORM-3D. Focus on the analysis of filling material at the die cavity, and velocity field, temperature field, stress field, strain field, the forming load and so on, to observe the forming defects form and may cause the process.Based on a comparative analysis of the simulation results show that the third forming process is the best, this paper determines the forming technology is applied in the cold extrusion profiled shaft sleeve by the composite extrusion precast square hole, the preforming and the final forming composition. Simulation analysis was made on the friction coefficient and wear of the final forming top die, optimization of the extrusion speed and friction factor in the final forming, optimization the factor of the extrusion speed and friction in the final forming. Finally, according to the cold extrusion forming process of the profiled shaft sleeve is proposed in this paper, designed the corresponding process of cold extruding die, provides the theory basis of support and the corresponding actual application solutions to process production.
