HS-WEDM was invented by Chinese in the late 1960 s. Because of the simple structure and low price, its popularity is growing by leaps and bounds. But the problem of wire cut-off could not avoid considering of the principle of the machine and other factors. Lacking of effective tools, wires can only be twined on the roller manually when it was cut off, which greatly affects the machining accuracy and the efficiency. So making research on the device design of HS-WEDM rapid wire installation has great practical significance. It can not only increase the machining qualified rate but also bring direct economic benefits.In this paper, by analysis the causes of cut off and the manual process of wire wear silk, we summed out the problem that need to solve to develop automatic threading machine. Yu Lei jian has designed the device of rapid wire installation which solved the remove of wires, the automatic clamp of wires and the rapid fasten of the wire. Based on his research, I have designed a lead wire apparatus and a pull wire device in my paper, which improving the automation of machine wear silk and providing a reference for future implementations of automatic threading. Contents of this study are summarized as follows:(1) Design diversion device, which can bring the wires on the roller to the traction device on the wire arm.(2) Designed wire traction device, which can lead the wire through the wire arm accurately.(3) Designed a reasonable mechatronics program, select the controller and write control program, making sure that the devices can automatically run when the wire was cut off, so that the wire will be remove, and new wires will be bring on the machine.(4) Experimental study of wear connect, after the device of automatic wire connection were all output, we will make experiment on the machine. And the main contrast was threading time and workpiece surface quality.
