With hazy weather becoming more frequent, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is facing unprecedented air pollution problems in recent years. According to research, vehicular emissions are main moving resource of haze while vehicle numbers continue to escalate due to the rapid development of economy in the region. Additionally, as a result of regional integration development in BTH having been identified a major national strategy, joint protection and control in atmospheric environment area will play an important role in integration process. Consequently, it is meaningful for regional air pollution control to study on the total amount of vehicular emissions in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region.Firstly, by using average annual VKT estimate method, this study established a multi-year emission inventory(CO, NOx, HC, PM) for vehicles in BTH region during 2007-2011. The trends of the total amount of vehicular emission, its characteristics and contribution rate during these five years were analyzed based on the inventory. Secondly, by taking 2016 as a target year, this thesis assessed the impacts of five emission abatement scenarios considering existing emission control measures in BTH. These five scenarios are: Business as usual(BAU), Eliminate substandard vehicles(ESV), High standard replacement(HSR), Public transport priority(PTP) and Eliminate motorcycles(EMC). Finally, total emission abatement control measures and joint prevention and control management system of regional vehicle pollution were put forward according to the results.The results shown that 1)The total emissions of four pollution from vehicles kept increasing yearly from 2007 to 2011.In 2011, the emission of CO, NOx, HC and PM was 25.398, 10.25, 0.5278 and 0.0487 million tons respectively;2)From the types of vehicles view, the main source of CO is light duty gasoline vehicles(LDGV), the main source of NOx is heavy duty vehicles(HDV), the main source of HC is(MC),the main source of PM is(HDV\HDT);3)From the emission standard view, the National 1 and pre –National 1 vehicles make the greatest contribution to total fleet emissions;4)From the regional contribution rate view,Hebei Province makes the most contribution to total fleet emissions as it keeps the most vehicles;5) From the scenario analysis view, greatest abatement potentials of vehicles pollutants in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region can obtain when "yellow label" vehicles are removed and in the long term the key to regional vehicle pollution remediation is to take integrated measures on emission reduction and control, establish the joint prevention and control management system of regional vehicle pollution and promulgate the special law on the total vehicles control.
