Along with computer technology, network communication technology and information management technology’s development, Industrial Control System in modern industry role is increasing. The traditional control methods are experiencing a hitherto unknown change, began to the direction of network development. The structure of control system and control system from the original computer, the distributed control system, to the development of the popular field bus control system. The unattended, remote, high-speed transmission, but also gave birth to the combination of current in the commercial sector popular mobile network, Ethernet and control network. The industrial control system networking wave to a variety of embedded technology, a standard industrial control network interconnection, mobile technology in today’s popular technologies together, so as to expand the development space in the field of industrial control, brought new development opportunities. This paper proposes the use of existing mobile GPRS network, Internet communication technology and industrial control network technology, the design and development of a sampling of management information system, the system through the Internet, GPRS network and applied to a gas monitoring meter to the Internet, carry out the scientific management of flowmeter, flow information. Strictly speaking, this system is a remote monitoring system of a standard industrial control field. GPRS is a packet switching technology, it is between the second and third generation mobile communication technology, it uses the TDMA channel is not used in GSM network, provides moderate speed data transfer. The main work and achievements can be summarized into four aspects:(a) This thesis introduces the technical background of sampling technology, the management information system based on GPRS, to design and develop an efficient sampling management information system for technical demonstration.(b) Based on the analysis of current system, summarizes the existing system strengths and weaknesses, research methods to improve the system deficiencies, discusses the standard system planning, system analysis, system detailed design and other aspects of the content, put forward a new design system is feasible.(c) The design of the new system will change the current system relies on "artificial collection, manual meter reading" situation, creatively put forward that using GPRS network to realize remote data acquisition, real-time transmission. Starting from the Socket communication mechanism, analysis of background communication system, to solve the data communication between data acquisition terminal and computer management terminal.(d) The new system is designed in this paper introduces multithreading technology, makes the backstage management program to achieve the synchronization of data receiving, processing.This system can solve the actual problems of real-time, wide-area, distributed natural gas industry remote control, manual system is better than that of the natural gas industry in general use, can greatly improve the long-distance natural gas pipeline management ability, promote the technology development of the gas industry, has good practical value and social value.
