In recent years, with the domestic economic development, the State encourage and develop the domestic economy, increase domestic consumer demand, so logistics and warehousing industry have a quick development. Based on the above reason, The demand of forklift have a great increase.Homogeneity and low level make domestic forklift industry big but not competitive, large amount but low profit competition environment. In order to get out of the difficulty and make China’s forklift industry can truly become big and competitive, domestic forklift company must research a medium and high grade forklift. As one of the most important part of the forklift truck the forklift portal-frame system is vital in the forklift system. As the main bearing components of forklift portal-frame system, forklift beams are also the rails of lifting equipment. Surface quality and form of forklift beams have a great influence on the usage and wear of portal-frame wheels, lifting cylinder and other parts. So forklift beam is a top priority in the process of production.In this paper, one set of pass for L-section beam for track of the forklift is designed for a factory’s existing production line of steel rolling equipment and casting billet based on the traditional method and universal method of pass design. Meanwhile this paper simulates and analyses the rolling process of this set of pass by DEFORM-3D software. According to the results of simulation analysis, this paper improves this set of pass designed. Finally this paper gets a set of pass which has good filling effect and finished shape and size.After continuous simulation of the set of improved pass, this paper makes a detailed analysis of it. The detailed analysis includes every pass’ s elongation and rolling force, the typical pass’ s metal flow law and equivalent stress field. And the detailed analysis will help to farther understand the forming laws and characteristics of the hot rolling L-section beam for track of the forklift and to provide references for practical production.
