Along with the increasing intensification of globalized market competition, the service has become more and more important in competition between the enterprises. At the same time, the customer-centered business model prompts the enterprises shifting their focus of design and production from single product to overall solution (including products and services). Product service system (PSS) is put forward as a new concept that adapts to the strategic shift of enterprises (Manufacturing-oriented product service system is also known as industrial product service systems). Based on the customer requirements and under the background of service gradually becoming the key elements of enterprise competition, this paper chooses the product service system oriented on CNC machine tools as the research object, and puts forward the configuration model of product service system. In this paper, the main research contents are summarized as follows:(1) In the face of fierce market competition, the modular design method can meet the rapid changing market. This paper used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to determine the weights of customer requirements, and divided the physical product into modules by fuzzy clustering method. Then, this paper determined a suitable threshold to achieve final modular division result. This paper proposed using directed graph to establish the relationship between the service elements, and through the calculation and setting of reachable matrix distance threshold value determined the module division of service factors.(2) The research on the conceptual configuration of CNC machine tool PSS was carried out. This paper used the ontology editing software Protege to build the configuration meta-ontology in order to improve the sharing and reusability of the configuration knowledge. This paper encoded the classes and properties in OWL ontology language, and encoded the configuration constraint rules with SWRL language, then these configurations and constraints of knowledge was mapped to the fact library and rule library of JESS inference engine. Through inputting the customer’s preference of product service system, the feasible configuration results were outputted by the reasoning of the inference engine.(3) The research on the decision-making of PSS configuration results for CNC machine tool was carried out. This paper chose the data envelopment method to evaluate the configuration result, and used the CCR model and SE model to evaluate the result of specific configuration, then selected the most optimal configuration results.This paper studied the product and service module division of CNC machine tools PSS, established PSS configuration model of CNC machine tools based on ontology, and at last, evaluated the configuration results.
