| The friction between the mold and the slab in the continuous casting is a very important parameter to reflect the continuous casting machine running well or not. It mainly studies the interaction between the mold and slab from the point of mechanics. The study shows that the mold friction has a close relationship with the strand quantities, operation and the life of quick mould change equipment. The friction, when excessive, may lead to crackle and sticking breakout.In the paper, based on the old on-line monitoring system, a new system has been built. And, with the in-time detection on friction force and a great deal of data analysis, the rule of friction data relative change and precautions are presented. It offers a feasible detecting method for predicting the life of quick mould change equipment. The related parameters of influence friction are determined. These results will offer a good foundation for on-line use. |
