With the fast development of the manufacture and information industry, the competition between manufacturing enterprises is fiercer and fiercer. Enterprises must respond the request on the market and user fast, and namely satisfy the five requests-TQCSE (Time-Quality- Cost- Service- Environment) to gain the user and market. VM technology appears just as an new technology in recent 10 years. It can adapt to the market and satisfy the user fast, finish the dynamic simulation about the manufacturing of actual products with VT(Virtual Technology) and ST(Simulation Technology), economize time, and raise the efficiency. The paper combines the application subject to finish the virtual design and dynamic simulation of High-efficient Bar-steel Specialization Lathe with ST and VT.The High-efficient Bar-steel Specialization Lathe is a kind of specialization lathe, it is used to carry on thick or finish machining to the outside round of the hot-rolled metallic bar steel and get rid of impurities, carbon layer, crack and flaw, etc. in its surface. Then it can produce bright bar-steel with the high size precision and all-right surface roughness and without surface defects. Because the competition among production enterprises of steel is very fierce at present, the High-efficient Bar-steel Specialization Lathe is needed as the automatic production line urgently. But it is made only by one enterprise in our country, and the level of design and manufacturing can far from adapt to the market fast. According to this reality, the three-dimensional entity model about the guide machine of the High-efficient Bar-steel Specialization Lathe is built with ADAMS and MALAB softwares and carried on motion simulation, and the simulation result is described with the data and curve. At the same time, the design variables are built, design points and models are parameterized. Then a large amount of repetitiveness work is spared, and the ideal design purpose is attained by the optimization of the machine and system. So it can shorten design cycle, improve the design competence and offer powerful theory data and the evidence of performance evaluation for experiment and manufacturing of the products, then this is a try on the study of VT technology.
