The synthesis process of a kind of water-soluble cationic copolymer powder-PDA, which was prepared by diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DMDAAC) and acrylamide (AM) was studied in this paper. Firstly, the drying conditions was determined: drying temperature was 60 ℃, the size of the PDA colloid grain products was 2x2x20mm. Secondly, the polymerization conditions were investigated.Such as the effect of monomer concentration on the PDA colloid-products' intrinsic viscosity was studied, and the monomer concentration of 38% was as a critical concentration of forming cross-linking PDA products. Thirdly, it was selected the best two of chain-transfer agents from the several candidates in the process researches of the polymerization at a constant temperature or at a rising temperature, those were PAC and PAJ. Under the best conditions mentioned above, the PDA powder-products with the intrinsic viscosity of 10.0dL/g and dissolving time of 48h were prepared. Finally, the effects of surfactants on the dissolving rate of the PDA power-products were studied , and PDA power-products with the intrinsic viscosity of 8.8dL/g and with a dissolving time of 6h were obtained.These studies had made a good foundation of the further study and the industrialization of the powder-products.
