The energy resources supply is hard up in our country. Over a long period of time,it is in a lacking condition.The consumption of energy utilization for single product is greater than that in the developed countries,which is the baffle for the development of the national economy. So saving energy and cutting down the consumption of energy is the clever behavior.The synthesis and integration of process is the main method of reducing energy consumption in the chemical engineering .In the past few decades,the energy consumption of the tradition chemical production is decreasing.It is not because the better equipment so much as because the integration of total process.Therefore,in order to using energy economically,the chemical engineer did not only put an eye on reducing energy consumption of single equipment,but also pay more attention to how to reducing energy consumption of total process which will save energy dramatically.The typical process industry,such as petroleum and fertilizer,uses much more energy than other industry.Reducing the consumption of energy can promote the competitive ability of the production.The chemical process plant use energy with a great quanlity,particularly ,the heat exchanger networks in which energy is concentrated most consum the greatest quantity .Therefor ,it is very important that we should optimize the heat exchanger networks and recycle energy as much as we can.In the past few years ,with the development of economy,the equipment of process industry is becoming more and more comples.One of the method to reducing the energy consumption is the tatal process energy integration which can analyze the process energy consumption condition and to produce the best structure of process, which uses the lest energy.About the subject, something has been done in this article as follows:Pinch analysis is used for diagnosing the energy consumption condition ofprocess system and find where the bottleneck loaded.According to the pinch theory, if cooling utility is used up the pinch point,heating utility is used down the pinch point or the heat exchange streams across the pinch,there will be double loss in the utility.By means of improving the streams match properly ,we can decrease the consumption of the utility in the heat exchanger networks.The project example prove that if we use pinch analysis technique to guide the reforming and designing in particular process system project,we can cut down the consumption and invest expense in early days,and these methods are simple,preponderance is obviously,foreground is promising.To analyzing some problems ,in the problem table algorithm we handle it particularly for phase transition problem.The component in the process system project is very complex .Using the large chemical simulation software SIMSCI HEXTRAN ,we simulated a section of a construction project in a large synthesis ammonia plant.we found the difference of degree in the heat exchanger is much larger than normal,and the condition of energy using is not reasonable. We gave some improving proposal to ameliorate the heat networks and brought about optimizing result.As the energy resources is more and more serious,the saving energy manufacture in large complex process system is becoming a sigifcant subject concernded by society. Cutting down the energy consumption for single product and decrease the waste gas ,which must bring about benefit for the society and economy.
