The characteristics of offshore oil production made it a high risk, high investment and high technology industry. Since the integrated effect of wave, ice, hurricanes and monsoons which will probably destroy the oil field equipments, the surroundings of offshore oil field is very tough indeed.Moreover, as the space of both drilling and oil production activities is limited, the possibility of dangerous accident increases. Also because CNOOC has to apply many high-tech equipments and tools which are quite different from the ones used on land, the requirement of the recruits' quality and equipments safety are much higher. As the reasons mentioned above, the research of the risk analysis and safety management benefit a lot to CNOOC both in economy and social influence.BZ25-1 oil field, which located in the southeast of Bohai bay, is one of the main fields of CNOOC Tianjin branch. It includes Sahejie and Minhuazhen production zone. One of them, Minhuazhen production zone, is cooperated with Chevron-Texaco.According to the features of BZ25-1 ODP report, this paper used Preliminary Hazard Analysis Methods and Index Number Methods to make risk analyses .In order to increase accuracy, we used Dow and Mond Methods to evaluate the danger of fire and explosion. The author mainly used Index Number Methods to evaluate the risk that should not be estimated by Index Number Methods. Finally, the author made a conclusion that the system designs and safety management institutions of BZ25-1 is effective to protect most of the internal and external factor accidents. Especially when we have fully considered the countermeasuresmentioned in this paper, the branch can at most avoid the possibilities of accidents.Also, this paper gave a detailed description about the risk factor of alternating works that frequently occurred on the platforms. In the mean time, we have paid special attention to the hydrogen sulfide problems that haven't mentioned in the ODP report but did happened in the field practices. We made a good many special investigations and researches and gave our countermeasures. At the very end of this paper, the author made some suggestions and recommendations about the safety management of BZ25-1 oil field.
