The quantity-insufficiency of bottle-packaged medical products is a kind of mistake happening from time to time in the packaging process in current Chinese medical enterprises. With the ever-intensifying implementation of GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices for Drugs ) standard among Chinese medical enterprises, and with the increasing emphasis on healthy affairs, people began to realize that, in order to guarantee the absolute high-quality of medical products, it's extremely necessary to eradicate this kind of mistake. This thesis introduced the design work of a non-contact optical detecting system, which is used to supervise the packaging process of medical products and to bring in timely reactions if mistakes happened. This thesis can be subdivided into three parts with different focus: 1, optical designing part;2, mechanical designing part;3, the designing work of control system. In the optical designing part, the thesis mainly dealt with questions like selecting detecting light sources, controlling the propagation of light beam and the detection of optical signals. In the mechanical designing part, in close connection with the real medical factory environment, this thesis devised a kind of modular design method. This method offers our detecting system with great flexibility and utility. In the control-system designing part, the thesis carried out researches surrounding the effort to apply micro-processor into our system. Not only introduced the theoretical designing works, this thesis also showed the feasibility of designing by implementing a series of illustrating experiments. For example, the thesis colleted detailed data of the reflection rates of different surfaces to prove that the detecting method adopted by this thesis is actually workable. Finally, the thesis exhibited the real product and its excellent performance.
