Conditional overhaul is based on the technique of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. Management information system is a powerful tool to manage huge amounts of monitoring-data effectively which is produced in the process of equipment status monitoring. In this dissertation, a management information system, which is designed to manage huge amounts of monitoring-data as well as the enterprise production information, has been developed. The research on this system is a part of the project on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis for a type of dump truck.In this dissertation, software engineering and modularize design method are adopted. Delphi 7 and SQL Sever 2000 are used. The demand analyses, the whole design solution and the design of function module are described. The design of database and interface, the system structure on the basis of C/S are also explained. During the unit testing and module testing on the finished modules, bugs are found and the reasons are discussed.This management information system emphasized on treating and analyzing the numerous data of monitoring and maintenance records, to support the decision activities of various levels and improve the validity of decision from the users.To ensure the practicability of this system, the disposing and compressing method of the history data from condition-morning are discussed in detail. Based on the study of swing door trending (SDT) and its improved algorithms, an improved algorithm is presented. By applying the method of golden section to achieve the error-self-adapting, compress ratio is greatly improved while the compression error is only slightly influenced. A case study is presented to prove the efficiency of the algorithm by compressing and decompressing the simulating signal data of condition-morning.The blue print of this system is highly evaluated by the experts from the granted company.
