Zr(OH)4 gel was prepared by sol-gel method and the gel was alcoholized by ethanol. Then Zr(OH)4 gel was dried and calcined to get ZrO2. A series of different metal catalysts doped by NiO,Co2O3,Cr2O3,CuO,Ce2O3,Fe2O3,Mo2O3 were prepared. The samples were characterized using XRD,DTA,TG,TEM,SEM and chemical analysis method for studying the roles of different metal oxides to catalysts structure and properties. The results of IR showed that ZrO2 had a process of crystal with the rise of temperature; when the temperature reached 350℃, bond Zr-O began to form and then went uniformity and consistence. The results of XRD showed that ZrO2 was monoclinic crystal calcination by 550℃while this temperature of 6%CuO·ZrO2 was 700℃, it proved that dipping metal oxide put off the transition of ZrO2 from tetragonal crystal to monoclinic crystal, which was content with the result of DSC. And the delay of transition in CuO·ZrO2 was more evident than in CuO/ZrO2. During a series of CuO·ZrO2 catalysts, the content of Cu(Cu2 %.wt -10%.wt) related the proportion of monoclinic crystal and size of catalysts which decreased and then rised, when the content of Cu was 6%, that was the minimum. Catalyst samples were nanometer size particles and had coarse surface without reuniting of metal oxide, which was confirmed from SEM and TEM images. The results of BET showed that surface area and pore volume of CuO·ZrO2 were both higher than CuO-ZrO2 and CuO/ZrO2; and surface area of 6% CuO·ZrO2 was the largest during a series of CuO·ZrO2 catalysts. DG research showed that there was complicated action between metal oxide and Zr(OH)4 in CuO·ZrO2,Fe2O3·ZrO2 catalysrs; metal oxide calcinated by high temperature would deoxidate.A series of oxide catalysts supported on ZrO2 and Zr(OH)4 were prepared. The catalysts samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM methods. The activity of catalysts was studied by the oxidation of ethanol on min-reactor chromatogram set. The influence of different metal, reaction temperature and velocity of flow were...
