Super high-speed grinding, because of its higher productive efficiency, better surface finishing than general grinding, is the current trend in grinding .It can even realize the precision machining on the material difficult to be machined. Super high-speed grinding experiment is the most direct and effective way to study the mechanisms of super high-speed grinding. Because of the limit of experimental apparatus and experimental media, super high-speed grinding process experiments with CBN wheel are seldom done at home, the achievement gap between our nation and abroad is wide. So doing our own super high-speed grinding process experiments is significant.First, based on the literature reviews, the history and current situation of super high-speed grinding technology are summarized. This thesis puts forward the overview of grinding theory, as well as the train of thought for studying it. The thesis comprehensively introduces the scheme for the experimental study in super high-speed grinding with CBN wheels.Then, based on the experiments of two different materials (45#carbon steel,40Cr carbon steel) operated on the 314m/s super high-speed grinding machine in Hunan university, the super high-speed grinding process with CBN wheels is studied in detail. The effect of grinding parameters such as wheel velocity, grinding depth of grinding wheel, workpiece velocity as well as wheel grit size on grinding force, grinding force ratio, specific grinding energy, surface roughness ,burn are analyzed. The parameter optimization project for each material is put forward based on the above analysis. It turns out that to get a lower surface roughness and grinding force there is a proper range of grinding depth and workpiece velocity for each material, the type and the supply of the grinding fluid are also should be taken into consideration.The research findings of this thesis means much to reveal the exocentric rule of super high-speed grinding, enrich the super high-speed grinding process database and supervise the factory practice.
