The analysis method of residual monomers of acrylamide(AM) and dimethyldiallyammounium (DMDAAC) in copolymer PDA (poly-DMDAAC-AM) with cationicity 20% was studied. P-matrix methods with UV spectrum which is one of the computational spectrophotometry, was used to determinate the content of AM,DMDAAC simultaneously and without separation. The relative error of AM is 0.4%~8%, RSD is 0.3%~0.67%, recovery rate is 94%~106%;when detecting DMDAAC, the relative error is 5%~30%, RSD is 0.44%~6.36%, recovery rate is 96%~121.3%. This method can accurately be used to detect the content of AM in PDA, but is not so exact for the determination of DMDAAC.
