Recently, researchers have been making rapid progress in the development of various antibacterial .Owing to less posionousness and wide antimicrobial spectrum , the newly antibacterial of rare earth complexes attracts more and more people to research . Meanwhile, research about using rare earth ions and their complexes as hydrolytically cleave the phosphate dieater bond of nucleic acid ,and their cleavage efficiencies are high.On the basis of the two above points , we synthesized eight new solid ternary complexes of rare earth with L-Phenylalanine (L-Phe) and o-Phenanthroline (Phen) ,in ethyl alcohol solution.Their composition are characterized by elemental analysis , molar conductance , IR , Raman , UV-VIS . The compositions of the complexes were confirmed to be RE(Phe)3Phen Cl3 ? 3H2O(RE=La3+,Ce3+,Pr3+,Nd3+ ,Sm3+,Eu3+,Er3+,Y3+). The stability of heat was proved by the data of TG-DTA . Two dinuclear complexes were synthesized(La0.2Eu0.8(Phe)3PhenCl3 ? 3H2O and Y0.2Eu0.8(Phe)3PhenCl3 ? 3H2O). No characteristic emissions of La3+ and Y3+ are detected for La(Phe)3PhenCl3 ? 3H2O and Y(Phe)3PhenCl3 ? 3H2O.However, the increase of fluorescence intensity can be obviously observed This interesting phenomena of fluorescence enhancement is named co-fluorescence effect.The antibacterial activities testing indicate that all these solid ternary complexes have antibacterial ability against Escherich coli ,Staphy lococcus aureus ,Candida albican. Meanwhile, the antimicrobial spectrum more broad and durable quality, are excellent antibacterial.The actions of two rare earth(La3+, Eu3+)complexes and CTDNA with UV-Vis spectra, SERS were researched. When the concentrations of the complexes are increased , A260 are gradually weaken . SERS experiment shows that the stretching vibrations of the bases of CTDNA change obviously. The two experiments indicate that The flat aromatic structure of o-Phenanthroline ligand of the complex may overlap with the stacking base pairs of DNA by intercalation. The La (III) complex is...
