The Study Of The Key Technology Of The Rss Actuator

According to the situation that slide and guide drilling can not meet the demands of ultra-deep well drilling, directional well with big challenges drilling, cluster well drilling, horizontal well drilling, ERD well drilling, multilateral well drilling and multi-target three-dimensional well drilling. A new RSS tool has been designed, developed and tested on rig-site.The working principle, structure feature and design feature of the modulation RSS and downhole tools have been analyzed.The mechanical designing and the strength verifying of the downhole RSS including bias actuator design, pushing force calculation of the bias actuator rib have been completed.A set of lab detection system for bias actuator has been developed. And it has met the demand of simulated experiment in laboratory.The model tests key units including hydraulic pressure dispatching system and actuator have been done. A modulation RSS prototype has been developed and laboratory tested and operation tested on surface. Redesign on the prototype has been taken according to the exposed problems during the tests.An prototype tool has been manufactured. Field application test has also been done on the new developed RSS with downhole measuring system, upgoing communication system and surface monitoring system. It has proven that the new developed RSS had achieved the steering and non steering functions. however, in order to satisfy the requirements of hostile environment such as HTHP and strong shock, the whole performance of the prototype tool needs to be improve further.
