Facing with the increasing energy crisis and environment contamination, traditional diesel engine is unable to satisfy the demands of economic and emission. In the research and application of new diesel engine technology, the high-pressure common rail electronic controlled fuel injection system is a key technology. As one of the most important part in the control of high pressure common rail system, rail pressure control has a vital significance for it not only greatly affects economic and emission, but also plays an important part on fuel spray and combustion.Based on the widely research on domestic and foreign relative papers, taking diesel engine of the high- pressure common rail system as the basic theory, the principle and developed process of high pressure common rail system has been analyzed, and then the strategies of fuel pressure control has been designed.According to different diesel engine running points, injection pressure control mode has been selected. Rail pressure control applies the open loop and PID closed loop. The control of starting and shut off use open loop, and the control of pre-control and normal operation mode use close loop. Having used ASCET software development platform of ETAS, software design and automatic code generation were completed. At the same time, lots of experiments has been carried out instructed by control strategy and final results had been analyzed and summarized, the test results show that the fuel injection pressure of diesel engine can be controlled precisely to meet needs of diesel engine performance.
