| Modern project management has become a systematic management theory and technology. So project management theory and technology is applied to develop SCADA system for drainage pumping station of Shenzhen Water Group. Problems of process management, schedule control, quality, and risk and communication management are all studied. Feasibility and effect of the finished project are also evaluated. The basic purpose of this research is to make sure the project can be finished and delivered to users on time on quality under manager control and provide the valuable experience for reference.First, by analyzing the condition before centralized monitoring, feasibility analysis of SCADA system for drainage pumping station is finished in terms of project background, demand analysis, project site selection, pilot project design, organization and implementation and techniques and environmental benefits.Secondly, elementary knowledge of project management is demonstrated involved in SCADA system. Applications of project organization and management, construction plan, control management and communication management are described in the implementation process of SCADA system. CMM3 norm is followed in project development and with assurance of the quality of the project, effective project plan and project tracking and oversight (PTO) are used to ensure the progress in schedule, thus have an effect to control project expenses cost. the application of risk management in the project of SCADA system are discussed emphatically, such as avoiding and preventing known risk, mitigating and changing the source of risk, building up emergency plan and avoiding demand risk. Several targeted measures are explained to prevent known risks. the essential points of the quality management and control of the SCADA system are discussed, including technical evaluation, process analysis, software/hardware test, startup of quality management, quality plan, quality assurance, quality control and quality termination.Last, by comparing with the status without SCADA, the project is post-evaluated from the aspects of operations management, engineering level, trial operation period, social and environmental benefits. |
