This paper is made up of two pieces.The first piece is about the tractive calculation on railway trestfe. The multi-particle tractive calculation theory is set forth firstly, and used to study the traction calculationproblem when the train is operating on such specific track as the ferry-trestle. Thepapar also discussed the Iocomotive adhesion formula under such dankishentironment and the reasonable selection of traction power. The domestic switchersin being are compared, from which, a Style is selected to verify the train brakingability. And we discussed the question Of the maximum number of the closed-cockcars when the locomotive is working under condition of different make-up of train andgradient. At last, simulating the trestle actual service condition, using the multi-particle train tractive calculation program, the paper worked out train tractivecalculation result. The result supplies the theory reference for the railway trestle inactual operation.The second piece of the paper is about the study on the rules of the railway trestleadjustment. Domestic developing status of railway trestle and the structure andparameter of each part about the Yue-Hai railway trestle are introduced in detail.The paper also fits formula of the relationship between the ferry freeboard and itsload, the math model of the trestle adjustment is analyzed, the optimum objectand boundary condition of the optimum computing are determined. And thenusing the optimum calculation theory, I programm the optimum program. Withthe program, I worked out the ferry freeboard correspond to a ferry load andadjustment quantity of each frusta. when the water level changes from highworking level to low working level,viz. the trestle adjustment rules. The result isalso the basic work for realizing auto-adjustment in actual operation.
