This paper mainly studies the control strategies of ultra-audio-frequencyinduction heating power supply of series resonant type inverter using IGBT.Firstly the working principles of induction heating and inverter are brieflyintroduced. After the parallel resonant type, series resonant type and otherresonant type inverters for induction heating are compared and analyzed, thewhole system scheme is put forward. Then the theory of phase locked loop isanalyzed in detail, and its disadvantages are also listed. Based on the carefulanalysis of the induction load, novel fuzzy-neuro approach is introduced toimprove its performance. Several kinds of control schemes are simulated andcompared in Simulink environment, which proves the right of the control scheme.The controller based on CMOS phase locked loop (4046) is designed, which issupported by microprocessor (80C196KC) .All kinds of required protectivecircuits are carefully designed. The transient protection of IGBT is also beenstudied. Simulation and experimental results show that the controller works well.In the end of this paper, wave-shape photos of every part are provided.
