Using tilting passenger cars is one of the best means to improve the average speed of passenger cars, whose design is based on the non-tilting passenger car. As the first passenger train, any valuable research will be focused on and given times of attention. In this thesis, the contents mainly focused on the following two subjects: a, improved the mathematical model, at the same time giving consideration of comfortbility, performance and cost; b, optimization of the tilting mechanism is carried out based on numerical analyses, with the consideration of high efficiency and high security Firstly, basing on all kinds of tilting regulations put forward by specialists in this field at home and abroad, the mathematical model is given and improved using KS-Function It抯 the most important step to establish a mathematical model according to the real circumstance in which cars are performing steadily According to a report, the curve of 9 -force, in which 0 stand for tilting angle and force exerted by propeller , has three vertex points.Usmg the KS function, I put forward the definition of Complex KS Function and using it to improve the cwve of 0 -velocity and 0 -acceleration, especially smoothed the vertex at conjunction of key point Secondly, on the base of kinetic and dynamic equation of passenger car, optimization of the tilting mechanism is carried out using Matlab.The optimizing design plots and realizations of it are introduced and evaluated. Using equal surface plots, I give the suggestions for improvement At the same time, using ADAMS, the simulations of kinetic and dynamic analyses in tilting mechanism are done, design shows results have good compatibility with that using Matlab. Through sophisticated mathematical reference and theoretical analysis, this article give general design scheme. Results show that manufacturing quality can be significantly improved by setting the nominal values of design parameters to optimized values...
