In this thesis, we analyze and study the mechanical attributes of metallic hose with the non-linear FEM (Finite Element Method) and relative theories, and we write the special FEM program for metallic hose to carry on the process of calculation automatically when inner parameters vary. First of all, with the three-dimension eight-node (with mid-node) shell element, considering the material non-linearity, geometric non-linearity, large deflection and large strain, we carried on the theoretic analyses and calculations of bellows, the results of which agree with the corresponding experiments. Basing on the research of bellows, we bring forward the FEM model of metallic hose in shell element and beam element as the foundation of calculation and analyses, aiming to solve the function mechanism behind metal net, we analyze such important problems as how the end techniques of metallic hose impact on its mechanical attributes and how the metal net prevent the instability of itself, in the last we formed some new opinions about metal net, thus laying the solid foundation for our designing the metallic hose which works under all kinds of conditions.
