Domestic Heavy Traffic Road Asphalt Rutting Test

We selected three kinds of home-made heavy traffic asphalt-ZhongHai, MaoMing & ZhenHai with two kinds of import name brand asphalt SHELL and ESSO, tested their quality with our heavy traffic asphalt technical standard. Research further carried out bituminous mixtures testing of ability with ZhongHai AH-70 and ESSO asphalt. We selected 3 kinds of coarse aggregate, Separately proceeded mix design with the 2 kinds of asphalt, in number 18 series. Afterwards, we selected the best mix design from the same asphalt and coarse aggregate, and proceeded rut test. The number of rut test was 6 series in all. Whether original asphalt or bituminous mixture, test findings proved that homemade heavy traffic asphalt was as good as import asphalt. This task supplied a great deal of data of homemade heavy traffic asphalt; this will be an important base of decision-making for many engineer and leaders of traffic system. Surely of course, the home-made heavy traffic asphalt must be used extensively in the building of expressway, the cost will be cut down enormously.
